About Love Sea
Love Sea (also styled The Love Sea) is a 2024 Thai boys-love romance that trades the city for sand, salt air, and the slow rhythm of a southern island. Tongrak, known to readers as a celebrated romance novelist, escapes a creative slump by retreating to a quiet seaside town in search of fresh inspiration and a little peace. What he finds instead is Mahasamut, a rugged, sun-warmed local boatman who has been hired to look after the visiting writer and ferry him around the coast.
The two could hardly be more different. Tongrak is guarded, polished, and used to controlling the narrative; Mahasamut, nicknamed Mut, is blunt, easygoing, and very much at home on the water. Their early days together are all friction and teasing, but as the tides turn the prickly arrangement softens into something tender. Between fishing trips, island errands, and long evenings under open skies, the famous writer who chronicles love for a living finds himself living a love story of his own.
Adapted from a novel by MAME and produced by Me Mind Y, the series leans into its warm, scenic setting as a character in its own right, framing the romance against turquoise water and golden light. Reuniting the popular pairing of Fort Thitipong Sangngey and Peat Wasuthorn Chaijinda, Love Sea ran for ten episodes in 2024 and became a fan-favorite summer watch for its gentle chemistry, picturesque locations, and feel-good island-romance heart.
