About Losmen Melati
Losmen Melati is an Indonesian horror mystery series set in and around an old inn, or losmen, that was once a Dutch colonial estate before being converted into a place of lodging. The building hides a dark history tied to inhumane experiments carried out there in the past, and the spirits and curses left behind have never truly departed. At the center of it all is Melati, the inn's enigmatic madam, whose calm hospitality conceals knowledge of the occult and a bargain she has made to hold onto power and life.
The ensemble story follows the guests and visitors who arrive at the losmen, each carrying secrets, regrets, and fears of their own. Once they check in, they find that the inn forces them to confront their deepest terrors, and that leaving is far harder than arriving. As bodies and unexplained events accumulate, outsiders begin to piece together the sinister truth behind Madam Melati and the cursed walls that surround her.
The series is a continuation of the 2023 Indonesian feature film of the same title, which screened in cinemas across Indonesia and several other Southeast Asian markets before the streaming series expanded the story.
