About Our Movie
Our Movie (Urili Yeonghwa) is a 2025 South Korean melodrama that follows Lee Je-ha, a once-celebrated film director who has spent years frozen by his own perfectionism, unable to start the second feature everyone keeps waiting for. When he finally commits to a story about love measured against limited time, his search for the right lead brings him to Yang Da-eum, a luminous actress whose warmth lights up every frame she steps into. What begins as a working partnership slowly becomes something deeper as the two build a film together, scene by scene and day by day.
Unknown to almost everyone around her, Da-eum is quietly living with a terminal illness, choosing to pour what time she has into the work and the people she loves rather than into fear. As the production takes shape, the line between the movie they are making and the lives they are living begins to blur, and Je-ha learns to let go of control long enough to be fully present. Their bond grows tender and unhurried, shaped as much by ordinary moments on set as by the bigger feelings neither of them quite says aloud.
Rather than dwelling on illness, Our Movie keeps its gaze on creation, companionship, and the small daily acts that make a life feel complete. Across twelve episodes it asks how art can hold a person in time, what it means to make something beautiful while the clock runs, and how love can be both bittersweet and quietly hopeful. The result is a gentle, character-driven romance about two people choosing each other, and choosing to keep making art, for as long as they are able.
