About Delete
Delete is a 2023 Thai mystery thriller released on Netflix and directed by Parkpoom Wongpoom. The series builds on a single unsettling premise: a mysterious mobile phone that can erase a chosen person from existence with one swipe, leaving no trace and seemingly no memory of them in the world. When two people connected by a secret affair come into contact with the device, the temptation it offers slowly reshapes how they see the dangers and obstacles in their own lives.
Nat Kitcharit plays Aim, an author whose private entanglement with Lilly, a gallery owner played by Sarika Sathsilpsupa, sits at the center of the story. As the phone's power becomes harder to ignore, trust between the pair frays and suspicion spreads to those around them, including Lilly's volatile husband Too, portrayed by Natara Nopparatayapon. The narrative moves between the present and earlier events, gradually revealing how each character became bound to the device and to one another.
Rather than dwelling on spectacle, Delete treats its science-fiction hook as a moral pressure test. The question of who deserves to disappear, and what is lost when someone is simply deleted, drives the mystery forward across its eight episodes. Critics noted the show's deliberate pacing and its interest in guilt, accountability, and the corrosive cost of secrets, framing the speculative element as a mirror for very human failings.
