About Fire Force

Fire Force is set in a world plagued by Spontaneous Human Combustion, a phenomenon that turns ordinary people into raging fiery monsters known as Infernals. To combat this threat, the Tokyo Empire created the Special Fire Force, a collection of independent companies staffed by pyrokinetic soldiers who can either purify the Infernals or fight using flames of their own. The series follows Shinra Kusakabe, a young Third Generation pyrokinetic who joins Special Fire Force Company 8 with the dream of becoming a hero and saving people from the burning fate that consumed his family.

As Shinra settles into Company 8, he discovers that the outbreaks of combustion are not entirely natural. A shadowy organization is deliberately creating Infernals as part of a larger scheme tied to a mysterious entity and a buried catastrophe from the past. The companies that should be united in protecting citizens are riddled with hidden agendas, secret experiments, and rival factions, forcing Shinra and his allies to question who they can truly trust within the Fire Force itself.

Over its run the story expands from monster-of-the-week firefighting into a sweeping mythology involving the Evangelist, the Adolla Burst, and the origins of the combustion phenomenon. Shinra confronts his own past, reunites with a long-lost family member who walks a darker path, and grows from a grinning rookie into one of the strongest soldiers standing between humanity and a second great cataclysm. Blending intense action, supernatural mystery, and bursts of comedy, Fire Force builds toward a battle for the fate of the entire world.
