About New Saga
New Saga, known in Japan as Tsuyokute New Saga, is a 2025 time-rewind fantasy anime adapted from the light novel series written by Masayuki Abe. After a long and costly war, the magic swordsman Kyle stands at the end of everything: the Demon Lord is finally beaten, but humanity has been all but wiped out and the friends he fought beside are gone. As the last survivor of a ruined world, Kyle is given one impossible gift when a glowing crimson crystal sends his consciousness years into the past, back to his younger self in the hometown he once watched fall.
Armed with the hard-won knowledge of a future that has not happened yet, Kyle resolves to rewrite the war from the start. He knows which battles are coming, which choices doomed his comrades, and which small moments quietly decided everything. This time he means to save the people he lost and steer the world away from the tragedy he already lived through, building strength and alliances long before the enemy is ready.
Reuniting with childhood friends Lise and Theron while they are still young and whole, Kyle keeps the weight of his memories to himself and works to change fate one decision at a time. The series leans on its do-over premise for hope rather than despair, following a hero who has already lost everything and is determined, against the odds, to give everyone a better ending. Battle is a constant pressure, but the heart of the story is foreknowledge, second chances, and the bonds Kyle is fighting to protect.
