About The Seven Deadly Sins
In the kingdom of Liones, the Holy Knights who are sworn to defend the realm seize power in a coup and imprison the royal family. Princess Elizabeth Liones escapes and sets out alone to find the only force capable of toppling the usurpers: the Seven Deadly Sins, a band of legendary knights branded as traitors a decade earlier and scattered across the land of Britannia. Her search leads her to a small tavern run by a deceptively boyish young man named Meliodas, who turns out to be the captain of the very group she has been seeking.
Reunited piece by piece, the Sins each carry an animal symbol of a deadly sin and a unique magical gift. As Meliodas, Elizabeth and the talking pig Hawk travel Britannia gathering the scattered members, they uncover the truth behind the coup, confront the corrupt Holy Knights, and slowly reveal that the conflict is far larger than one kingdom. Ancient grudges, a long-buried war and the looming threat of the Demon Clan all begin to surface.
Across its run the series widens from a quest to clear the Sins' names into a sprawling fantasy about the centuries-old feud between the Goddess Clan and the Demon Clan, the secret of Meliodas's true nature, and the bonds that hold the group together. Loyalty, redemption and the weight of immortality drive the story as the Sins face enemies who threaten not just Liones but all of Britannia.
