Spy Classroom

Spy Classroom (Spy Kyoshitsu) is a Japanese spy action anime produced by Studio feel, based on the award-winning light novel series written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. Set in a world recovering from a devastating war that has shifted global conflict away from open battlefields and into the shadows, the story follows Klaus, a legendary operative known as the greatest spy in the world. Tasked with an Impossible Mission that has already killed the elite team sent before him, Klaus is forced to assemble a new squad from the only recruits available to him.

That squad, codenamed Lamplight, is made up of seven young women who all washed out of spy training academies. Branded as failures and misfits, each girl carries a unique and often unconventional talent alongside the flaw that got her expelled. Led by the brilliant but socially awkward Klaus, who is a genius at espionage yet hopeless at explaining how he does anything, the girls must learn to function as a team while preparing to infiltrate the hostile Galgad Empire and complete a mission with a survival rate that experts place near zero.

Blending tense infiltration set pieces, deduction-heavy mind games, and character-driven comedy, the series gradually reveals the hidden depths and tragic backstories of the Lamplight members. As the team takes on rival spy agencies, double agents, and the enigmatic operative Monika, Spy Classroom expands into a layered web of betrayal, trust, and survival, with each arc raising the stakes for the fledgling spies and the man trying to keep them alive.
