About The Order
The Order is a Netflix supernatural drama that follows Jack Morton, a college freshman who pledges a secret magical society known as the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose. Seeking to avenge his mother, Jack is drawn into a hidden world of dark magic, ancient rituals, and deadly campus politics at Belgrave University. What begins as an initiation into forbidden knowledge quickly entangles him in a centuries-old conflict that he barely understands.
Once inside the Order, Jack discovers a rival faction operating in the shadows: the Knights of Saint Christopher, a clandestine band of werewolves sworn to keep magic users in check. Recruited into their ranks, Jack finds himself caught between two opposing forces, hiding his lupine secret from the very society he infiltrated. The show blends collegiate coming-of-age beats with body horror, spellcasting, and shifting allegiances.
Across two seasons, The Order explores the tense and often violent rivalry between magic and lycanthropy, complicated by Jack's romance with fellow student Alyssa Drake and his confrontations with the Order's formidable Grand Magus, Vera Stone. Memory wipes, betrayals, and resurrected enemies keep the balance of power in constant flux, building toward a struggle for control over the Vade Maecum, the Order's most dangerous grimoire.
